Commission B: Food Supervision is Important Ahead of Ramadhan

Jakarta City Council Commission B Legislator, Dwi Rio Sambodo, emphasized the importance of food supervision ahead of Ramadhan until Idulfitri.

This is done as a deterrent effect

According to him, supervision of agricultural, livestock, and fishery food products must be intensified to protect residents from consuming hazardous and unfit materials.

"There must be intensive and massive socialization to traders and buyers," he expressed, Wednesday (2/26).

To raise public awareness, he stressed the importance of educating market traders not to sell products containing hazardous chemicals and socializing the sanctions against distributors or producers.

"This is done as a deterrent effect," he explained.

He explained preventing the circulation of dangerous products could be done through sudden inspections

"So, do inspections at various traditional markets in Jakarta," he asserted.
